Los Angeles Clippers legend Blake Griffin slammed his former team over the sudden waiver of his teammate Chris Paul..

Six-time All-Star forward Blake Griffin slammed his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers, on Friday over the sudden waiver of his teammate Chris Paul.

Griffin, appearing as a pundit for Amazon Prime's pre-game show, lashed out when he was asked about his views after his his former teammate Paul's sudden exit from the Clippers.

He said the Clippers' move was incredibly disappointing and left him speechless, unable to justify the team's actions. He reiterated his outrage at how this final chapter of Paul's in his reunion with the Clippers after so many years ended so acrimoniously.

Griffin said, "Re-signing with the Clippers... should have been the peak of his career." I vaguely remember him saying, 'I'm going back to Los Angeles, I'm going to give it my all,' but he ultimately couldn't leave the team he chose, perhaps the one to end his career, which is incredibly disappointing."

Regarding Paul's Instagram story that he was "suddenly informed of being waived," Griffin couldn't help but criticize, saying it was due to huge communication problems between the team's management, including coach Tyronn Lue, shareholders and owner Steve Ballmer, with his former teammate.

Griffin criticized, "What disappoints me most is what Chris Haynes (NBA insider) said."

"They (Paul and Tyronn Lue) didn't communicate. Worse still, I spoke to Haynes on Wednesday, to CP (Paul) yesterday, and to him today, and he didn't communicate with Steve Ballmer."

Recently, the news of Paul's unexpected release by the Clippers after officially announcing his retirement at the end of this season caused a huge shock.

According to ESPN reporter Shams Charania, Paul's release stemmed from his increasingly strained relationship with the Clippers. The player's leadership style, which he described as "extremely destructive" due to his repeated public demands for accountability from management, coaches, and players, was deemed by Clippers executives to be particularly disruptive.

Charania further pointed out that Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue had not spoken to Paul for several weeks. Paul had also requested a meeting with Lue a few weeks prior to discuss rumors that he was being labeled a negative factor for the team, but Lue refused.

Paul returned to the Clippers in July after a 14-year absence on a one-year, $3.6 million contract. However, the team struggled after his return, finishing 6-16 after 22 matchdays, second-to-last in the Western Conference.
