Fulham Football Club has announced that Luc de Fougerolles has signed a new contract with the club. The 19-year-old has reached an agreement with the club that will keep him at Fulham until 2029.
Luc de Fougerolles said after signing: "I am very happy to have signed a long-term contract and I look forward to one day representing Fulham and starting my first-team career."
“This is my local club growing up and I’ve been following their games since I was a kid. I know all the staff and players here and I have a passion for this great club. So I’m absolutely delighted to be signing a four-year extension and I can’t wait to continue my journey.”
Tony Khan said: “We are very pleased to have signed a new contract with Luc de Fougerolles, who will play for the club until at least 2029. This news is particularly exciting as Luc de Fougerolles has been at Fulham since the age of eight and is undoubtedly an important member of our family.”
"He showed tremendous talent and maturity when he represented Canada at the Gold Cup this summer. We have every confidence in his future development and are delighted that he will continue to play for Fulham for many years to come."
Luc de Fougerolles joined Fulham's youth system as an under-9 player and continued to develop through the levels. He made his first-team debut in November 2023 in the Carabao Cup away game against Ipswich Town and showed a calm and composed performance.
A few months later, he made his international debut, coming on as a substitute in Canada's 2-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago.
Last season, Luc de Fougerolles experienced a long recovery period from injury, but eventually returned to the field and participated in the last five games of the U21 national team. In this summer's Gold Cup, he seized the opportunity and played well, helping the Canadian team reach the quarter-finals, and his personal appearances also increased by 5 games, showing a good competitive state.
