Another crucial match in the 31st round of the 2025/26 Premier League season will take place, with Fulham hosting newly promoted Burnley at Craven Cottage. Manager Marco Silva has stated that he hopes his team can get back on track at home and enjoy a victory.
In their last league match, Fulham drew 0-0 away to Nottingham Forest. After a run of 2 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses in their last 5 games, Fulham currently sits in 11th place in the standings with 41 points.
For Burnley, Scott Parker's team is in 19th place with 20 points, and drew 0-0 with Bournemouth in their last match.
Fulham manager Marco Silva said, "As the season progresses, every game becomes more and more crucial. But it's not that winning now will get us more points than before, but rather that we don't have much time to correct what the team is doing well or not doing well, and that's the most important thing for us."
"At the same time, we also hope to get back on track to victory at home, because the results of our last two home games have not been ideal for us, and we hope to bounce back."
Marco Silva emphasized, "We need to enjoy victory and good results again, and perform at our best, with the support of the fans. Burnley will be our next opponent, and as everyone says, it's a crucial game, especially before a period without matches."
“Even though many players will be temporarily away due to national team duties, this match is still very important. We hope to enter the international break with a better mindset, boost the morale of both the team and the fans, and thus better face the challenges ahead.”
In their head-to-head record, Fulham defeated Burnley 3-2 away from home in the first leg of the season, thanks to goals from Smith Rowe, Calvin Bessie and Harry Wilson.
Marco Silva said, "This is a very important game, and Burnley have proven that they are a tough opponent for many teams, especially since they perform better away from home than at home. This is the key game to get us back on track, and it will be a very difficult game to get 3 points."
When discussing the competition in the standings, Marco Silva said, "The competition for 7th and 8th place is very fierce, and we want to be part of that competition. To do that, we must get points in the game against Burnley."
