Roma announced on its official website on Sunday that the club has extended the contract of its Serbia international goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
According to Roma's official statement, Svilar has signed on a new long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.
About Mile Svilar
The 25-year-old Svilar was born on August 27, 1999 in Antwerp, Belgium. He is 1.89 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper. He has dual Belgian and Serbian citizenship.
Svilar joined the Beerschot youth academy since he was a child. In 2010, he moved to the Anderlecht youth academy and was promoted to the first-team in August 2015, during which he has won the Belgian Super Cup once with the club.
In August 2017, Svilar moved to Benfica for €4.5 million, and completed his Benfica first-team debut in October of the same year, becoming the youngest goalkeeper in the club's history.
During his five-year spell with As Ãguias, Svilar won the Portuguese Super Cup once with the club.
After leaving the club at the end of his contract in July 2022, Svilar joined Roma as a free agent.
Since becoming a member of I Giallorossi, Svilar has played 85 times for the Serie A powerhouse in all competitions so far, conceding 88 goals and keeping 30 clean sheets.
