Sevilla announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has extended the contract of its Spain U21s international right-wing back wonderkid Juanlu.

According to Sevilla's official statement, Juanlu, whose contract was originally scheduled to expire in the summer of 2026, has signed on a new three-year deal with the club which will run until the summer of 2029. According to the regulations of the La Liga, the amount of his release clause will also be increased to €75 million.

About Juanlu

Juanlu, who is only 21 years old, was born in Seville, Spain on August 15, 2003. He is 1.86 meters tall and primarily plays as a right-wing back. He can also play as a right winger or defensive midfielder.

Juanlu joined Sevilla's youth academy at the age of 12 and completed his Sevilla first-team debut in a Copa del Rey match in December 2021.

In August 2022, Juanlu was loaned-out to Mirandes. After returning to the club at the end of his loan spell the following summer, Juanlu officially became a member of the Los Nervionenses first-team.

Since his debut, Juanlu has played 66 times for the La Liga powerhouse in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists.
