On October 9th, Sheep Esports reported that French jungler Skeanz has reached a contract extension with SK Gaming and will continue to compete in the LEC in the 2026 season. This is also the first player confirmed to remain with SK Gaming in the new season.

With all contracts expiring, SK Gaming had considered a complete restructuring across five positions. However, starting during the offseason, the team prioritized Skeanz's contract extension. Despite initial uncertainty in the negotiations, the two sides ultimately reached an agreement on Wednesday. SK Gaming also confirmed that head coach David "OWN3R" Rodriguez will remain with the team and lead the rebuilding of the new roster.

Since leaving the LEC in 2021 , Skeanz has re-established himself in the ERL with impressive performances for Vitality.Bee , Karmine Corp , and Papara SuperMassive . Returning to the LEC four years later , he showcased a more mature player with SK Gaming , earning MVP honors in their group stage victory over Team Heretics .

Despite SK Gaming's poor performance over the past year, failing to escape the bottom of the standings in three regional tournaments, Skeanz remains one of the team's most consistent players. This contract extension is not only a recognition of his individual abilities, but also marks the beginning of SK Gaming's rebuilding plan.
