Torino announced on their official website on Monday that the club have extended the contract of its Equatorial Guinea international defender Saúl Coco.
According to Torino's official statement, Coco has signed on a new three-and-a-half-year contract which runs until the summer of 2029.
About Saúl Coco
The 27-year-old Coco was born on February 9, 1999, in Lanzarote, Spain. He is 1.87 meters tall and primarily plays as a center back, but can also play as a right back or defensive midfielder. He holds Spanish, Equatorial Guinea, and Nigerian citizenship.
Coco played for the youth academy of a local non-league club in Lanzarote during his childhood. In 2013, he joined the youth academy of Las Palmas, and three years later moved to Espanyol's youth academy.
After being promoted to the B team in the summer of 2018, Coco was immediately loaned-out to non-league club Horta.
The following July, Coco returned to Las Palmas as a free agent, before completing his Las Palmas first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in a Copa del Rey match in December 2020.
In July 2024, Coco joined Torino for €7.5 million.
Since becoming a member of I Granata, Coco has made 59 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.
