Vitor Pereira is pleased with the positive results Wolverhampton Wanderers have achieved in the 2024/25 Premier League season, as the team fought hard against Brentford at Molineux and managed to get a well-earned point.  

In the first half of the game, Wolves fell behind again due to defensive errors. However, a powerful shot from Marshall Mnessey helped Wolves get a point at the end of the season. Looking back on his six months in charge, the head coach is extremely proud of the team's transformation.  

Vitor Pereira said: "I'm extremely proud of my players, but also of the club and our supporters. Of course, we would have liked to end the game with a win, but it was a great, intense game with chances for both sides and it wasn't easy in the end."  

"It was a game we could have won and the other team had the chance to win. We lost two places in the standings today and I am not happy with that. But overall I am very happy with the team's performance so far this season."  

"I'm proud of myself because I believe I deserve everything I've gotten in life. Getting through six games before the end of the season is never easy and it's a very different situation than when we first arrived."  

"After the Manchester City game, we started to make some unusual mistakes and sometimes the brain loses focus at the key moments. We conceded some goals in the past few games that we shouldn't have conceded, and today we conceded another one, which shouldn't happen to us."  

"Marshall M'Nesy's goal was fantastic and he deserves more credit because he works hard and trains very hard. I'm sure he will score more goals next season and in the future."  

Vitor Pereira also expressed his gratitude for the support of the fans. He said: "Our fans are amazing. I am proud of them, my team, our work, the club and all the staff. Everyone has made great efforts to end the season in this state, and we believe that we can continue to move forward on this basis in the future."

Of course, we wanted to win today, but we failed to do so against a strong opponent. However, I am still satisfied with the team’s performance.”  

"When I feel happy inside, I like to celebrate with the fans because they have contributed a lot to the team's transformation this season. When I am disappointed or sad, I don't go to the bar, so I am not disappointed today. We created chances, tried our best and created more possibilities for goals. This is football. Next I have to go home to pack my bags and leave tomorrow, and then make plans."  

"If we want to perform better, we have to lay a solid foundation and go all out from the beginning. Not just to avoid relegation, but also to hit the middle of the league. To be honest, I can imagine that in the future, we will start again based on the work of the past few months, reshape our game, inject new energy and elements, become stronger, and perform better than this season."
