Fulham will host Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage in the 15th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Marco Silva stated in a press conference that even against a strong opponent, his team will strive to get back on track to victory.
With goals from Smith Rowe, Iwobi and Chukuese, Fulham narrowly lost 4-5 at home to Manchester City in the last round of the Premier League, achieving a record of 3 wins and 2 losses in the last 5 rounds.
Reflecting on their previous performance against Manchester City, Fulham manager Marco Silva said, "The players and fans reacted exceptionally well. Only a team with a strong attitude can do what we did in that kind of game. In that score and situation, our reaction showed passion and belief, which was evident in that match. Choosing to push forward instead of just trying to prevent the score from widening further takes courage in itself."
"I'm very happy that we can play at home again, because everyone got positive energy from the second half of that game, and hopefully we can carry that feeling into the next game. We didn't get any points that day, but I believe it will help us get points in future games."
Speaking about Glasna's Crystal Palace, Marco Silva said, "They have excellent players, and it will be another intense match. Physically, they are very stable. We know they can remain solid even when off the ball for extended periods, and they have no worries about that because they are confident in their ability to strike back and in transition attacks. Their set-piece ability is also very strong, and we must be prepared."
"Of course we must respect Crystal Palace, but more importantly, we must focus on ourselves, do what we can do, and strive to get back on track to victory at home, even against a very strong team."
In addition, Marco Silva said, "They are a team that can keep a clean sheet, and if you look at their clean sheets in the last twenty or thirty away games, it is absolutely impressive."
"This shows that they can maintain stability and compactness, and they are not worried about whether the team can control the game, because they have great confidence in their tactical structure."
