Real Madrid announced on its official website on Sunday that the has renewed the contract of its Spanish forward wonderkid Gonzalo García.

According to Real Madrid's official statement, García has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. In accordance with La Liga regulations, García's buyout clause has been increased to €1 billion.

Gonzalo García, who is only 21, was born on March 24, 2004, in Madrid, Spain. He is 1.82 meters tall, he primarily plays center forward, but can also play as a left winger or right winger.

García joined the youth academy of non-league club Santa Barbara at the age of six. In 2014, he joined Real Madrid's renowned La Fabrica youth academy. He moved to Mallorca's youth academy in 2018 and returned to La Fabrica the following year. He began playing for Real Madrid's B team in 2022 and completed his Real Madrid first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in November 2023.

Since his debut, García has played 12 times for the Los Blancos in all competitions so far, scoring five goals and providing two assists. During which he has won the La Liga once and the UEFA Champions League once with the club. Individually, he was selected into the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Team of the Tournament and won the Golden Boot in the same tournament.
