Tottenham Hotspur beat Reading with a 0-2 away win in a pre-season friendly match at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

In the first half, O'Mahony was only given a yellow card for a flying tackle on Porro causing controversy. In the second half, Lankshear scored with a header and Vušković volleyed into the net. In the end, Tottenham Hotspur beat Reading with a 0-2 away win.

First half

In the 10th minute, Reading got a free kick opportunity. Charlie Savage took the free kick by crossing it into the box from outside the penalty area, which immediately caused chaos. The ball was blocked off the goal line by by Pedro Porro and was cleared not far away. After picking up the loose ball, Savage took a long shot with his left foot from outside the penalty area, but his shot went just slightly higher than the upper right corner of the crossbar.

5 minutes later, Alfie Devine crossed into the box from the left wing. Dominik Solanke quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, took a right-footed shot from the center of the box, but his shot went just slightly higher than the upper right corner of the crossbar.

In the 32nd minute, Porro was maliciously brought down by Mark O'Mahony's flying tackle after he had intercepted the ball on the right. The referee blew his whistle immediately, but only gave the latter a yellow card, which caused controversy!

7 minutes later, Tottenham got a corner kick opportunity. Porro took the corner by crossing it into the box. The ball was headed and blocked not far away by Paudie O'Conner. Pape Matar Sarr quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, volleyed with his right foot from the center of the box, but his shot was saved by Joel Pereira.

In the 45th minute, Porro crossed into the box from the right wing. Cristian Romero quickly followed up and attempted with a header at a very close distance in the box, however his effort went just slightly wide of the left side of the post.

At the end of the first half, Reading and Tottenham Hotspur temporarily drew 0-0 and entered the halftime break.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 49th minute, Tottenham got a fatal corner kick opportunity. Mohamed Kudus took the corner by crossing it into the box. Luka Vušković headed by ball across and Will Lankshire headed the ball into the net from a very close distance in the box. Tottenham Hotspur broke the deadlock first to take a 0-1 lead!

4 minutes later, Kudus passes horizontally from the left side of the box. Luka Vušković quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, volleyed the ball into the bottom right corner of the net with his left foot from the left side of the box. Tottenham Hotspur quickly expanded its lead to 0-2! The defensive wonderkid who was on-loan at Belgian club KV Westerlo last season continued his very high goalscoring efficiency. At the same time, this was also Kudus' first assist after joining Spurs!

In the 72nd minute, Spurs got a corner kick opportunity. Kudus took the corner by crossing it into the box. The ball was saved by Pereira and cleared not far away. Son Heung-min quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, and took a long shot with his right foot from outside the penalty area, but his shot ball flew high out of the pitch.

6 minutes later, Kudus passes horizontally from the right wing. Jamie Donley quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before volleying with his left foot from the center of the box, but his shot went just slightly wide of the right side of the post.

In the 81st minute, Reading got a corner kick opportunity. Mamadi Camara took the corner and passed the ball kick into the box. After stopping the ball, Ben Elliott took a long shot with his right foot from outside the penalty area, but his shot lifted over the crossbar by Guglielmo Vicario.

4 minutes later, Yves Bissouma crossed into the box from the left wing. The ball was blocked by John Ryan. Djed Spence quickly followed up and after intercepting the ball, volleyed with his right foot from a very close distance in the box, but his shot was saved by Jack Stevens.

In the first minute of injury time, Ryan crossed into the box from the left wing. The ball was initially blocked and headed not far away by Ben Davies. Ashqar Ahmed quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, took a long shot with his right foot from outside the penalty area, but his shot was saved by Vicario.

When the final whistle is blown, Tottenham Hotspur beat Reading with a 0-2 away win.
