Inter Miami fell to a shock dull 0-0 draw against Al Ahly on matchday 1 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Group A Group Stage match held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, USA on Sunday.

In the first half, Ashour's close-range shot was blocked, Abou Ali's free kick was saved over the crossbar, Dari's header was saved, and Trézéguet's penalty was successfully saved. In the second half, Allende's close-range shot was saved, Messi's free kick hit the side netting, and Picault's header was saved. At the critical moment, Messi's long-range shot hit the crossbar. In the end, Inter Miami fall to a shock  0-0 draw goalless against Al Ahly.

First Half

In the 8th minute, Al Ahly made a quick counterattack. Trézéguet passes horizontally from the front. Emam Ashour quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, pushes the ball with his right foot at a very close distance in the box against the outrushing Óscar Ustari, but his shot was blocked by the latter's outstretched legs.

In the 32nd minute, Al Ahly got a free kick opportunity. Wessam Abou Ali took the free kick by striking the ball with his right foot directly from outside the penalty area. However his attempt was over the crossbar saved by Ustari.

2 minutes later, Al Ahly got a corner kick opportunity. Zizo took the corner kick by crossing it into the box. Achraf Dari rose high and attempted with a header at a very close distance the box. However his effort was saved by Ustari in front of the goal line! Al Ahly missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock!

In the 41st minute, Zizo was knocked down by Telasco Segovia while dribbling in the box. The referee immediately blew his whistle and awarded Al Ahly a penalty kick opportunity! Trézéguet took the penalty kick and strucked the ball with his left foot. However his effort was easily saved by Ustari by the bottom left corner! Al Ahly Nationals once again missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock! The former Aston Villa forward also missed his golden opportunity to score again on the biggest international stage!

In the second minute of the first half stoppage time, Luis Suárez crossed from the left side of the box. Just when the ball seemed to be about to enter the net, the ball was blocked by Abou Ali in front of the goal line. Inter Miami missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock!

At the end of the first half, Inter Miami and Al Ahly temporarily drew 0-0 as they entered the half-time break.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 51st minute, Inter Miami made a quick counterattack. Yasser Ibrahim made a mistake while clearing the ball in his own penalty area. Tadeo Allende quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, volleyed with his left foot at a very close distance in the box against outrushing Mohamed El-Shenawy, but his shot was was saved by the latter.

13 minutes later, Inter Miami got a free kick opportunity. Leo Messi took the free kick and strucked the ball directly with his left foot from outside the penalty area. Unfortunately, the ball hit the left side of the net and went out. Inter Miami missed another golden opportunity to break the deadlock!

In the 85th minute, Messi crossed from the byline at the left side of the box. Fafà Picault rose high and attempted with a header in the box, however his effort was saved over the crossbar by El-Shenawy.

In the 6th minute of injury time, Noah Allen made a straight pass from the right wing. Messi stopped the ball and took a long shot with his left foot from a difficult angle 35 yards outside the penalty area. His shot was initially saved by El-Shenawy and unfortunately hit the crossbar before bouncing off! Inter Miami missed a golden opportunity to beat the opponent with a late goal!

When the final whistle is blown, Inter Miami fell to a shock dull 0-0 draw against Al Ahly.
