For the Celtics, Brown scored 26 points and White 19 , but their overall offensive efficiency was low, ultimately leading to a loss.

The Celtics started strong with a 9-7 lead, but the Knicks rallied to take the lead and extended it to double digits midway through the quarter. Despite a Celtics effort to close the gap, Brunson scored 15 points in the quarter, including two three-pointers, leading the team to a 35-24 finish. In the final quarter, the Celtics narrowed the gap to 73-85 , but the Knicks once again extended their lead to over 20 points, effectively ending any suspense in the game. In the end, the Knicks easily defeated the Celtics 111-89.
