Auxerre officially completes the signing of Strasbourg's French defender Marvin Senaya..

Auxerre announced on its official website on Friday that the club has signed French defender Marvin Senaya from Strasbourg.

According to Auxerre's official statement, Senaya has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. At the same time, he will wear the No. 29 jersey.

About Marvin Senaya

Marvin Senaya, 24, was born on January 28, 2001 in Saint-Maurice, France. He is 1.79 meters tall and primarily plays as a right back. He can also play as a left back. He has dual nationality of France and Togo. His father Yao Mawuko and uncle Yao Junior are both former Togo international defender and defensive midfielder respectively. His younger brother Ewann currently plays for Basel and also plays as a right back.

Senaya played for the youth academy of a local non-league club in Mulhouse, a city on the border between France and Germany when he was young. In 2016, he joined the Strasbourg youth academy and began to play for the Strasbourg reserve team in 2019.

In August 2021, Senaya was loaned-out to Sochaux.

After returning to the club after the loan-out ended in the summer of the following year, Senaya completed his Strasbourg first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in August 2022.

A few days later, Senaya was loaned-out to Rodez.

After returning to the club following the end of his loan spell in the summer of the following year, Senaya officially became one of Strasbourg's key players.

On the 2025 winter window deadline day, Senaya was loaned-out to Lausanne Sports, but he did not often get playing opportunities.

During his three-year spell with Strasbourg, Senaya played 49 times for the Ligue 1 club in all competitions, scored 2 goals and assisted 2 times.
