Enzo Maresca confirmed that there are no new injury concerns ahead of the match against Newcastle United, and also brought positive news regarding Liam Delap and Estewan Willian. The team will then travel to Tyneside to face Newcastle United, managed by Eddie Howe.  

In the last league match, the team defeated Everton and will strive to secure three points in this Premier League game. Furthermore, Chelsea defeated Cardiff City midweek, advancing to the Carabao Cup semi-finals. Due to Enzo Maresca's rotation of the squad in the League Cup, the Italian manager confirmed in the pre-match press conference that those players who did not play in the Cardiff City game will return this weekend.  

Enzo Maresca has provided an update on the injury status of Liam Delap and Estewan Willian, both of whom are close to returning. Maresca stated, "The team is in good form, and we are very positive news that we expect to welcome back Liam Delap and Estewan Willian for the match against Aston Villa on December 28th. Since Liam Delap's injury, we haven't been able to determine the duration of his absence, but his recovery is progressing satisfactorily."  

After their midweek match in Wales, Chelsea embark on another crucial away journey, heading to the Northeast of England to face Newcastle United. Newcastle United currently sit 12th in the Premier League table, only six points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. However, Enzo Maresca knows that their opponents, boasting players like Bruno Guimarães, Sandro Tonali, and Joelinton, will pose a significant challenge this weekend.  

He added: "In my opinion, playing against Newcastle United is always a challenge. Whether the game is played during the day or at night, they are always a strong team. The manager is excellent and has consistently delivered high-level performances over the years. The team has a deep squad, especially the midfield, which is very strong, physically gifted, and has excellent ball control, so any opponent will find it difficult to play against them."
