Fabrizio Romano confirms he has never heard of rumours claming that Gabriel Jesus is planning to leave Arsenal and returns to Brazil in January 2026..

Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, has exclusively refuted rumours cliaming that Arsenal's Brazil international forward Gabriel Jesus is planning to leave the club and returns to Brazil in January 2026 on Monday in his official paid column.

Romano stated in his column that neither he nor journalists in the industry have heard of Jesus plotting a move away, nor have they heard of any Campeonato Brasileiro Série A clubs are planning to sign him in January.

He revealed that the rumours stemmed from a Brazilian online media outlet claiming in late July that Jesus was in talks with Flamengo, a claim he had already refuted via X (Twitter) at the time.

Romano also stated that he has not heard of West Ham United or Everton is planning to sign Jesus during the January transfer window.

He stated that West Ham United manager Graham Potter is currently facing imminent sack, and the Hammers management has no intention of allowing the club to make signings in January to support a manager whose job is still uncertain.

Similarly, Everton was unable to make significant signings in the transfer window due to the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) limit, a fact clearly evident during the summer transfer window that concluded earlier this month.

Romano added that Jesus, who has suffered two ruptures of the cruciate ligament in his left knee since January, is fully cooperating with Arsenal's rehabilitation plan and will only leave if the Gunners decide they no longer want him.

Undeniably, with the 2026 FIFA World Cup in United States, Mexico and Canada set to be held next year, Jesus will naturally be eager to play and demonstrate his abilities in the hope of being included in the list of players called-up to Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil national team.

However, at this stage, Jesus will be fully focused on returning to full fitness as soon as possible, hoping to play for Arsenal at his best.

Upon verification, the rumour which claimed that Jesus is planning to leave Arsenal leaving Arsenal in January 2026 and return to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A originated from the infamously notorious British online media outlet Football Transfers, a regular representative of our "Daily Slap in the Face Party"!

As per Romano's claim, the fake news which claimed that Jesus was in talks with Flamengo about joining the team on a "loan-with-an-obligation-to-buy" basis originated from the Brazilian online media outlet RTI Esporte!

A few days later, this rumour was indeed refuted by Romano through X!
