Fenerbahçe announced on its official website Thursday that the club has officially bought out the ownership rights of on-loan Slovakia international defender Milan Škriniar from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Fenerbahçe's statement, Škriniar has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.

After completing his joining procedures, Škriniar, who was interviewed by the Fenerbahçe official website again, said, "I'm delighted to be back with this family. As I always say, I felt at home from the moment I arrived in January."

"I've always been loved by the fans, the staff, and my teammates. I'm happy to be back here, and we'll continue to fight together."

About Milan Škriniar

Škriniar, 30, was born on February 11, 1995, in Žiár nad Hron, Slovakia. He stands 1.87 meters tall and plays as a center back.

Škriniar played for the youth academy of his hometown club Žiár nad Hron when he was a child. At the age of 12, he moved to the youth academy of Žilina, and completed his Žilina first-team debut at the age of 17 in March 2012.

In February of the following year, Škriniar was loaned-out to Zlaté Moravce.

After returning to the club following his loan spell in the summer of the same year, Škriniar officially became one of the undisputed key players in the Žilina first-team.

During his four-year spell with Žilina, Škriniar won the Slovak First League once and the Slovak Cup once with the club.

In January 2016, Škriniar joined Sampdoria for €3 million.

In July 2017, Škriniar moved to Inter Milan for €20 million, breaking the record and becoming the most expensive Slovak player in football history.

During his six-year spell with I Nerazzurri, Škriniar won the Serie A once, the Coppa Italia twice, the Supercoppa Italiana twice, as well as reaching the UWFA Champions League final once and the UEFA Europa League final once with the club.

In July 2023, Škriniar joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.

During his one-and-a-half-year stint at Les Parisiens, Skriniar played 37 times for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions, scoring once, as well as winning the Ligue 1 once, the Coupe de France once and the Trophée des Champions with the club once.

At the end of January this year, Škriniar joined Fenerbahçe on-loan with an option to buy.

Since joining Sarı Kanaryalar, Škriniar has made 23 appearances for the Turkish Süper Lig giants, scoring three goals and providing two assists, helping them reach the quarterfinals of the Turkish Cup and the round of 16 of the Europa League.
