Jonny Starter signs new contract with the club and joins Walsall on a season-long loan

Bournemouth striker Jonny Startl will join English League Two side Walsall on a one-year loan after signing a contract extension. At the end of last season, Jonny Startl joined National League South team Farnborough on loan and performed well.
In 19 games for the Hornets, he scored 10 goals as the team climbed to 10th place in the standings. He then moved to Walsall. The striker, who played on loan at Aldershot last season, has been in the Bournemouth youth system since the age of 11.
Jonny Statham said: “I am delighted to have signed a new contract with Bournemouth. Last season was a positive one for me. I started well with the development squad and then went on loan to Aldershot which was a great experience. My loan spell at Farnborough was very rewarding and played a positive role in my career development.”
Speaking about his loan move to Walsall, Jonny Statham said he is looking forward to the upcoming challenge and believes it will be a valuable experience playing for a historic club in a great league.
He said: "I am very happy to join here. I will do my best and play my best. This is a great opportunity for me and I am ready to seize it."
Academy manager Sam Gisborne said: “It is great news for both the club and the player that Jonny Startell has agreed a new contract with AFC Bournemouth.
"As a well-known striker in our youth academy at all age groups, he has gained a wealth of practical experience through loan. We sincerely wish Jonny Startl a smooth loan journey at Walsall and will continue to pay attention to his growth. I personally look forward to seeing his performance on the court."
