Kieran Tierney: I enjoy every day here and I feel very lucky

Kieran Tierney has said his final weeks at the club and admitted he has cherished every moment of his six years in north London. The Scottish left-back will bid farewell to the Emirates Stadium as a free agent this summer.

Since joining Arsenal from his boyhood club Celtic in 2019, he has played 144 games for the club. During his time there, Kieran Tierney was a key member of Mikel Arteta's early FA Cup-winning squad in 2020, and his dedicated and gritty performances have endeared him to the fans.

Arsenal fans showed their love and respect to Kieran Tierney during the final home game of the season against Newcastle United.

Then, in the final game of the season away to Southampton, he scored his sixth and final goal of the season. The fans in the stands of St. Mary's Stadium gave Kieran Tierney the warmest welcome, and he wanted to personally thank these loyal fans who supported him.

When asked for his parting words, Kieran Tierney said: “From the first day I joined, I am so grateful for everything you have given. You have always supported us in good times and bad, and helped me when I was going through difficult times.”

"I think that's what touched me the most, when things weren't going so well for me, they were the ones who gave me the most help and support. I'm really grateful and lucky to have them by my side."

"I feel very lucky to play for this club and I am overwhelmed by the support and love the fans have given me. Every day here is meaningful and I have learned a lot and made great progress."

Kieran Tierney also said: "When I first joined the club, I felt that the club was huge, but the team's position in the league table was not ideal. I think the team has made significant progress in the past three or four years. I firmly believe that this club, players and coaching staff will achieve better results in the future."

"It will definitely be hard to say goodbye, but in the end it will be a happy farewell. I love this place and I cherish every moment here. There are so many great memories here, the first game is always special, and winning the FA Cup in the first season."

"This is a great team and I have a really good relationship with a lot of the young players on the team. I've been here for a long time so it's sad to leave but also full of gratitude and joy."
