Moises Caicedo stated that Chelsea need to build on their 1-0 victory over Paphos, with the team's focus now shifting to securing a Champions League round of 16 spot next week. Despite dominating possession, Chelsea didn't create many chances at Stamford Bridge and ultimately managed a hard-fought win.  

It wasn't until the final 15 minutes of the match that the home fans witnessed Chelsea break the deadlock. Moises Caicedo headed in from close range inside the penalty area, giving his team the lead. Although the Ecuadorian midfielder isn't a prolific striker, his goals are often decisive, and this strike brought Chelsea one step closer to directly qualifying for the Champions League round of 16.  

After the match, goal scorer Moises Caicedo said the goal was significant for Chelsea and brought the team one step closer to its goals. He said, "This was a very important goal for the team, and I'm happy we won. It was a tough game, but the team performed exceptionally well overall."  

“I don’t often score with my head, but tonight was an exception, and I’m happy to have scored. The opponent’s defense was very solid, but we needed to control the tempo of the game, and we did a good job in that, which is very important for the team.”  

Moises Caicedo stated that as one of the team's more senior players, he is taking on leadership responsibilities in the locker room and thoroughly enjoys this role, setting an example for his teammates by leading by example.  

He continued, "Many people consider me one of the team's leaders. Although I don't talk much in the locker room, I prefer to prove myself on the field and in daily training, which is very important. We train hard every day because we need to continuously improve our performance in every game."  

“I’m very happy that the team got three points. We still need to keep working hard because there is a crucial game to secure a top-eight finish. The team is currently preparing actively, and we will stay focused and continue to put in the effort.”
