Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, exclusively reported on Sunday that former Arsenal and Wales international midfielder Aaron Ramsey has terminated his contract with his current club, PUMAS UNAM, due to the severe psychological impact of the mysterious disappearance and suspected death of his beloved dog.
According to Romano's report, Ramsey, who left Cardiff City this summer to sign with the PUMAS, had temporarily placed his dog, Halo, at a dog care center in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, before being called up to the Wales national team early last month.
Unexpectedly, Halo suddenly disappeared without a trace on October 9th, and no one witnessed its disappearance or the reason for it.
Upon learning of the devastating news, Ramsey immediately withdrew from his national team duties and flew back to Mexico to inquire about the situation. However, the person in charge only offered excuses and lies, claiming that the surveillance cameras were broken, and refused to take responsibility for Halo's mysterious disappearance.
Afterwards, Ramsey spent an entire month tirelessly distributing flyers throughout the San Miguel Allende area, appealing to the public for help in finding Halo, even offering a reward of $10,000 to $20,000, but his beloved dog remained missing.
Until earlier this month, realizing Halo might be deceased, Ramsey, heartbroken, decided to terminate his contract with PUMAS UNAM to dedicate himself entirely to finding his beloved dog.
According to a short video posted by Ramsey on his official Instagram account, Halo was his dog, whom he and his family had raised since he was still playing for Arsenal, from a puppy to the present day. His and his family's affection for Halo was undeniably deep, so the devastating news of Halo's mysterious disappearance, and even the possibility of his death, is unimaginably painful and heartbreaking for Ramsey and his family.
