Radzislav Krejci stated that while James Collins and Richard Walker had given their all in preparation for the away game against Chelsea, he believed Wolves' defeat stemmed primarily from defensive lapses. Under the two interim coaches, Wolves defended solidly in the first half, tenaciously holding their opponents to a draw going into halftime, but Chelsea capitalized on their opportunities in the second half to secure the victory.  

The home team secured a comfortable 3-0 victory, extending Wolves' winless streak. Manager Radyslav Krejci stated that the team will rest during the international break and prepare for new challenges when the season resumes.
