Freiburg announced on its official website on Monday that St. Pauli's German defender Philipp Treu has officially returned to the club.
According to Freiburg's official statement, Treu will wear the No. 29 jersey. In order to respect the confidentiality agreement, the club and the German media will not disclose the player's contract length and the transfer fee.
After completing his joining procedures, Treu, who was interviewed by Freiburg's official website again, said: "I think my skills have greatly improved at St. Pauli, and I have performed well in my first year in the Bundesliga. Now I want to go further at Freiburg."

About Philipp Treu
The 24-year-old Treu was born on December 3, 2000 in Heidelberg, Germany. He is 1.72 meters tall and primarily plays as a right back, but can also play as a left back.
Treu played for the youth academies of Sandhausen, Kaiserslautern and RB Leipzig when he was young. In 2017, he moved to the Freiburg youth academy and began to play for Freiburg's reserve team in 2019.
In July 2023, Treu moved to St. Pauli.
