Tottenham Hotspur will face Reading in a friendly and new manager Thomas Frank says he is ready for a bigger challenge and is eyeing more titles.

After injuries and different challenges, Tottenham Hotspur only finished 17th in the 2024/25 Premier League, but won a place in the Champions League by winning the Europa League. However, not long after, Postecoglou, who led Tottenham Hotspur to break the championship drought, was fired, and Thomas Frank was appointed as the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur in June.

Thomas Frank said in an interview, "Coming to a big club naturally comes with pressure, but I like this ambition. Every decision I make is based on longer-term goals, not just to last 18 months, but for long-term development."

“Winning the Europa League brought this club much-deserved and much-needed glory, and my goal is to add to that trophy collection. The first and foremost goal is that we must be able to compete in all four competitions and do so consistently.”

Talking about leaving Brentford, where he had coached for many years, Thomas Frank said, "This is a difficult decision, but it is easy from another perspective. It is difficult because I am a person who devotes myself to work, friends or marriage. When you devote yourself to a club, you will naturally have feelings, and I really enjoyed my time at Brentford."

"But I also felt it was time to challenge myself and take on new opportunities. When a club as big as Tottenham Hotspur came knocking on my door, I just couldn't say no."
