December 5th - The Celtics defeated the Wizards 146-101. Throughout the game, the Celtics had multiple players contributing, with their outside shooting on fire, while the Wizards struggled to mount any effective resistance, ultimately suffering a crushing defeat at home.
At the start of the game, the Celtics quickly found their rhythm, with White hitting consecutive three-pointers to launch a strong offensive and take a 9- point lead at one point. The Wizards briefly narrowed the gap thanks to performances from George and Middleton, but still trailed 26-32 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Wizards once again closed the gap to 4 points, but Walsh scored a whopping 13 points to help the Celtics regain their composure and extend their lead to double digits. At halftime, the Celtics led 66-59.
Entering the third quarter, White scored another 12 points, instantly widening the gap to 24 points. Although the Wizards relied on their bench players to try and catch up, they trailed 86-109 after three quarters . In the final quarter, Simmons hit four three-pointers, scoring 12 points in the quarter, and the gap was once extended to 45 points. In the end, the Celtics easily won 146-101.
