Paris Saint-Germain defeated Marseille 4-1 on penalties in the 2025/26 Trophée des Champions at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on Thursday.


In the first half, Dembélé scored by chipping over the goalkeeper. In the second half, Greenwood converted a penalty. Pacho scored an own goal. In a crucial moment, substitute Ramos volleyed home from close range. During the penalty shootout, O'Riley and Traoré's attempts were saved by Chevalier, before Doué converted the final penalty. Ultimately, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Marseille 4-1 on penalties to secure their fourth consecutive title.


First Half


In the 7th minute, Marseille won a corner. Emerson took the corner by crossing it into the box, where Leonardo Balerdi rose high and attempted with a header in a very close distance in the box, however his effort was saved by Lucas Chevalier.


Six minutes later, Paris Saint-Germain launched a deadly counter-attack. One minute later, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg made a straight pass from the left wing. Amine Gouiri quickly followed up, got the ball and cuts inside before volleywing with his right foot from the left side of the box, but his shot was saved by Chevalier.

The match then went into penalty shootout.


The penalty shootout began, with Ramos scoring first; Matt O'Riley's left-footed shot was saved by Chevalier.


Vitinha's right-footed shot was deflected by Rulli but still found the back of the net; Hamed Traoré's right-footed shot was saved by Chevalier.


Nuno Mendes and Amir Murillo then converted their penalties, bringing the score to Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Marseille.


On the final penalty, Désiré Doué converted with his right foot, sealing the victory.


When the final whistle is blown, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Marseille 4-1 on penalties, winning their the Trophée des Champions for the 14th time in its club history.
