Pickford extends Everton contract until 2029

English goalkeeper Pickford has officially renewed his contract with Everton until 2029. In an interview, Pickford said that he hopes to win the Champions League with the team in the future.

Pickford, 31, joined Everton in 2017 and has played 326 times for the Toffees in all competitions.

It is worth mentioning that Pickford and England advanced to the 2026 World Cup finals in advance during the earlier international match day, and the "Three Lions" successfully kept a clean sheet in all six World Cup qualifiers.

Pickford said in an interview, "I am very happy and very happy to complete the contract extension. This time it is an extra 2 years, a total of 4 years. I am very excited. This gives me the opportunity to build my own legend here, continue to move forward and bring the club to our ideal position."

"Everton is a very special club for me. From the young boy who came from Sunderland to the mature man I am today, this period of time has been very meaningful to me and my family. I think everyone has seen my growth and changes, but I am still the player who loves to save shots. It is Everton that has helped me to keep improving, and I have also put in a lot of hard work."

Pickford added: "I've always felt like a great fit here. The passion of the fans is unparalleled and that's what I rely on. It's been an amazing journey so far."

In addition, Everton will travel to Manchester City in the next round of the Premier League. Moyes' team is currently ranked 8th in the standings with 11 points, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in the past 5 rounds.

Pickford continued, "I think those difficult days are over. Now what we have to do is continue to build momentum as a team and as a club. This is the reflection of the whole plan. The new owner has shown his determination to move the club forward since he took over. The same has been true since the coach took office, and we players have to work hard on the field as well."

"The manager wants us to carry on from the form we had at the end of last season into this season and will continue to motivate us. We have started well and hopefully we can continue this momentum and bring Everton back to Europe."

Pickford added: "We know it's going to be difficult but that's the journey we want to take and that's what the club will be working towards. We want to have a clear direction and hopefully one day win a trophy for this club."
