Arsenal will go to Portman Road to challenge newly promoted Ipswich in the 33rd round of the 2024/25 Premier League. Arteta said his team must think about how to use their advantages to deal with Ipswich and look forward to Arsenal returning to the winning track.
In the last round of the Premier League, Arsenal scored with Thomas Partey, but had problems conceding goals afterwards and were eventually tied 1-1 by Brentford at the Emirates Stadium.
After two consecutive draws, Arsenal currently ranks second in the standings with 63 points, 13 points behind first-placed Liverpool. This also means that Arsenal must get all three points to have a chance to continue competing for the championship in the next schedule.
It is worth mentioning that in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals earlier, Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 2-1 after goals from Saka and Martinelli, and successfully advanced to the semi-finals.
In the first match against Ipswich this season, Arsenal defeated Ipswich 1-0 at home after Trossard assisted Havertz to score.
Arsenal manager Arteta said at a press conference, “After analyzing the game against Real Madrid, we immediately started preparing for the game against Ipswich, studying our last encounter and reviewing what we have learned in the past few months. We have to think about how to use our advantages to threaten them, start with their characteristics, and prepare for the game in a targeted manner.”
In addition, Ipswich is currently ranked 18th in the standings with 21 points, so they must win to have a chance of avoiding early relegation.
Arteta said, “I understand their current situation. They will play at home and this is one of their few opportunities. But for us, this is also an important game. We need to get back on track in the Premier League as soon as possible, at least consolidate our current position, and sprint to the last few rounds of games with hope.”
"We are also aware of how difficult this game is. They are a well-organized team. Kieran McKenna and his coaching staff have done a great job. Every week we see them cause so many problems for the opponents, so we expect it will be a tough game."
