Atlético Madrid announced on its official website on Monday that the club has signed Italy international forward Giacomo Raspardori from Napoli.
According to an official statement from Atléti's , Raspardori has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. As per La Liga's regulations, Raspardori's release clause is set at €85 million.
In addition, according to Spanish online media outlet Relevo's resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Matteo Moretto, the La Liga giants paid Napoli a total transfer fee of €26 million for Raspardori.
About Giacomo Raspardori
Giacomo Raspardori, 25, was born on February 18, 2000, in Bentivoglio, Italy. He is 1.72 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward, but can also play as a left winger or attacking midfielder.
Raspadori joined Sasuolo's youth academy at a young age and completed his Sasuolo first-team debut in May 2019.
Raspadori's steady improvements since his debut quickly attracted interest from AC Milan and Juventus, and he was also sought after by West Ham United.
In August 2022, Raspadori was loaned-out to Napoli, but his rights were later bought out in July of the following year for €36 million.
During his three-year spell with I Partenopei, Raspadori made 109 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists. During which he has helped the club win two Serie A titles, as well as reaching the Coppa Italia round of 16s twice, and reaching the Champions League quarterfinals once.
