Bologna announced on its official website on Thursday that the has signed right wing-back Nadir Zortea from Cagliari.

According to Bologna's official statement, Zortea has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. He will also wear the number 20 jersey.

About Nadir Zortea

Zortea, 26, was born on June 19, 1999, in Feltre, Italy. He is 1.87 meters tall and primarily plays as a right wing-back, but can also play as a right midfielder, left wing-back, or left midfielder. He is of Moroccan descent.

Zortea played for a local non-league club in Feltre as a child, as well as the Sudtirol and Atalanta youth academies. He joined Vicenza's youth academy in 2016 and returned to Atalanta's youth academy the following year. In the summer of 2019, after being promoted to the first-team, he was immediately loaned-out to Cremonese for two years.

In July 2021, Zortea was loaned-out to Salernitana.

After returning from his loan the following summer, Zortea completed his Atalanta first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in August 2022.

On the 2023 winter transfer window deadline day, Zortea was loaned-out to Sassuolo.

On the following year's winter transfer window deadline day, Zortea was loaned-out to Frosinone.

In July 2024, Zortea moved to Cagliari for €5 million.

Last season, Zortea made 38 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
