Valencia CF head coach Carlos Corberán commented on his team's 0-2 loss to Villarreal in the post-match press conference.  

After the game, Carlos Corberán said : " We played very positively in the first half and were better than Villarreal in many phases. However, we had to deal with a penalty kick, and the opponent did not create a real threat. From the replay, I think Kopet was trying to avoid physical contact at the time, rather than actively looking for a foul."  

"Following VAR intervention, the incident was reviewed and the referee awarded a penalty. We had no choice but to accept it. However, it clearly had a decisive impact on the outcome of the game. The first half was evenly matched, but Valencia had a slight advantage in attack, while we kept a clean sheet defensively."  

"We understand the fans' feelings, they have been cheering for the team. When we arrived at the Mestalla Stadium, the fans gave us a warm welcome. They supported us throughout the game. We are aware of their pain and feel the same way, so the team has the responsibility to work hard to change the current situation."  

"When the team fails to achieve the desired results and fails to give the fans the victory they deserve, we feel pain. We have no choice but to continue working hard and growing, striving to bring the fans the results they deserve in the future, rather than the current loss."  

Carlos Corberán also emphasized that the team will not give in to setbacks. He said : " We must always avoid discouragement, as it is the opposite of good performance. Without performance, we cannot win games. Our goal is to analyze, reflect, take responsibility, and reflect on what we did well. The team has had some bright spots, but there have also been moments where we didn't respond as expected, which require in-depth analysis to improve our overall performance."  

"Until the end of the game, I saw that the fans were disappointed with the result. They had given their all to the team and hoped to encourage us to turn the situation around. Although we tried our best, we couldn't do that. However, playing for these fans has never been a problem. That's why it was especially painful when the result was not ideal, because we didn't want to let them down."
