Sevilla FC player Isak Romero told reporters at a press conference this week that he is doing his best to play in next Monday's match against Espanyol .  

Isaac Romero said , " I'm recovering step by step every day and I'm confident in my condition. I'm training hard and hope to return to the field as soon as possible, contribute to the team, and try to play in the game against Espanyol next Monday."  

When asked about the team's goals for the season, the Sevilla striker said the team would do everything in their power to win against Espanyol. He stated , " Being at the top of the table is certainly something to be proud of, but our focus right now is entirely on Espanyol, because those three points are very important to us."  

“I feel fantastic, I’m really happy this year, everything is different. With the help of Matthias Almeida and the coaching staff, our team relationships have become closer. They have given us a lot of support, and I am very happy with our team.”  

“ We are more united this year than last year, like one big family, and we are all around the same age. We are proving with our actions that we have really formed a great team .”  

Isaac Romero spoke about his good relationship with his strike partner, Acoly Adams, and mentioned the possibility of him representing Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations. He said , " Acoly Adams is a really great guy, very easy to get along with. We help each other, we compete with each other, we work together to score goals for the team, and we've done a lot for that."  

"I always wish Cole Adams all the best. I would be disappointed if he were to be out for an extended period, as that would leave me to fend for myself on the front line. But I will continue to work hard, contribute to the team, and do everything I can to help."  

Speaking about his goal-scoring performance, the youth team player praised his three goals so far and said he would continue to contribute to the team's goal-scoring efforts. Isaac Romero stated , " So far, I've scored three goals, and I'm very satisfied with that. I will continue to work hard to score more goals for the team, and give my all in training and matches to help the team achieve good results."  

“I practice shooting every day and I feel myself improving. I’ve already scored three goals this year, which makes me very happy, and I will continue to work hard to help the team get points. I’ve always known that I want to stay here, and I can still do a lot for the club. I also have many dreams that I want to achieve while wearing this jersey, and help the team return to its peak.”  

" Right now we are focused on the upcoming Espanyol derby. These three points are crucial for us. Everyone understands how intense the game will be, and we just want to do our best to win ."
