Ahead of their final La Liga match against Villarreal, Sevilla head coach Joaquín Caparros spoke to the media.  

Joaquin Caparros first assessed the team's physical condition before the game: "The appearance of Sambi and Sau is still unclear. Sau has been injured for several weeks and will still try his best to get a chance to play. The team atmosphere is very positive, similar to when we first joined. Although there is a certain sense of tension, it comes from a sense of responsibility. I enjoy all of this and am willing to endure some difficulties because I love this club very much."  

"I am familiar with the environment, fans and staff here. Our training this week was relatively free, but the training intensity remained stable. The players showed admirable human charm."  

“We hope to face a strong team in the final and show a high level of performance. Although we hope that some of our main players can play, the team’s strength is limited due to injuries and the need to use youth players.”

Looking ahead to next season, Joaquin Caparros stressed the importance of unity and calmness. He said: "The board must remain calm and united. The most important thing is to respect the club's badge and jersey. Only in this way can the work be better planned and handled patiently, which is what Sevilla Club and fans expect."  

Joaquín Caparrós looks back with pride on the club's relegation success, saying: "I have been very excited. Sevilla has given me another chance to lead and take control, and everyone knows how much this means to me. Although this was not the goal we set out to achieve, we have done what had to be done. The club's long-term goal was to reach the top European leagues, and this year, relegation became our priority, and we have successfully achieved that goal."
