Defending champions Bayern Munich will travel to face Hoffenheim in the next round of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Kompany stated that the team's preparations will not be any different and that they will not underestimate Hoffenheim's ability.
Bayern Munich defeated newly promoted Hamburg 5-0 at the Allianz Arena in the previous round of the Bundesliga thanks to goals from Gnabry, Pavlovic, Kane, and Diaz. In addition, in the first round of the Champions League earlier this month, Bayern Munich defeated Premier League giants Chelsea 3-1.
As for their upcoming match against Hoffenheim, they are currently sixth in the standings with six points, having defeated Union Berlin 4-2 in their last match. Bayern Munich have a record of three wins, one draw, and one loss in their last five matches against Hoffenheim, but since Bayern Munich recently played in the Champions League, Hoffenheim may have a slight advantage in terms of physical fitness.
Bayern Munich coach Kompany told a press conference: "Hoffenheim won all their games in pre-season and also won the German Cup. They have been performing well and they will think that now is a good opportunity. We are in good shape, but the way we prepare for Hoffenheim will not be any different from how we prepare for the game against Chelsea."
"We need to see which player is in better health and condition, and underestimating the opponent is definitely not an option. That is the biggest danger. Our players are experienced and have been in similar situations many times, so I am confident that the players will not underestimate any opponent."
In addition, Kompany also said, "We will draw up a battle plan again. After Stanišić was injured, there are not many options. As for Guerrero, we will observe his situation because he has not participated in training this week."
"Stanišić's injury is not serious and is likely to be a short-term problem that we will address with the players we have available. Stanišić will miss a few games but we hope he will be fit after the international break."
