Merlin Raoul, Everton's signing on summer transfer deadline day, said the close connection between the fans and the team has made him deeply appreciate the club's unique atmosphere. This is the main reason why every minute he has spent at Everton so far has been filled with passion. He also mentioned that he is greatly encouraged by the trust placed in him by manager David Moyes. Raoul also introduced the qualities he can bring to the team.  

The German U21 national team member joined Everton from Freiburg in early September. He came on as a substitute in the second half against Fulham at Hill Dickinson Stadium, replacing Tim Irogobnum in midfield in the 67th minute.  

Merlin Raoul delivered a stellar performance in Everton's 2-0 victory, securing the win for his team. This marked his third appearance at the club's new home ground, Hill Dickinson Stadium. When asked about his experience playing at the stadium after the match, Raoul said he had a great start to his life in Merseyside.  

He said, "It's really special. From the first minute I stepped onto the pitch, I fell in love with the fans, the atmosphere, and the team's style of play. I love the way they cheer us on, and sometimes we need to take the initiative to ignite that passion."  

“I love this place very much, and I am grateful for every minute I can play in this stadium, in this league, and in front of the fans. This has always been my dream, and I am very grateful to the head coach for his trust in me.”  

Everton cruised to a home victory against Marco Silva's Fulham, a win that also marked Merlin Raoul's first victory since joining the club. Goals from Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane shattered the visitors' hopes of a comeback, and the match was considered one of Everton's most convincing performances so far this season. Raoul stated that he is eager to be part of the club's winning culture and hopes the team can continue this inspiring momentum after the international break.  

Merlin Raoul said: "I think winning every game in the Premier League is crucial. Looking back at our previous performances, this victory and three points are significant, as they will allow us to climb further up the table and reach where we deserve and aspire to be."  

“This victory is very meaningful to me personally because it is my first win since joining Everton. It is always exciting to be part of a winning team. My primary goal was to come here and contribute to the team’s winning culture.”  

Merlin Raoul has now made four appearances in the Premier League. The 1.90-meter tall, Berlin-born versatile midfielder says his physique is a perfect fit for England's top flight. Raoul added: "It always depends on the specific situation and also on my performance. I played well against Fulham."  

In any situation, players need to constantly adapt, but I think the Premier League suits me very well. Everyone says the pace of the game is fast, and I'm personally very fast, so I might be able to fit into the game well; that's how I feel on the pitch. I like to run, I like to drop deep to receive passes, and I also like to participate in the organization from the back.”
