Oliver Skipp said the team improved in the second half against Sheffield United, but he believes that level of play should have been maintained throughout the match. He shared his thoughts with the media after the game.  

The player said: "In the game against Sheffield United, we were down by three goals in the first 32 minutes, but we scored two goals in the second half and tried to score another one. However, I must admit that our performance at the start of the game at Philbert Road was far from ideal."  

“ Just four days ago, we lost 0-3 at home to Southampton, and this series of disappointing results has left us 16th in the Championship. I am very unhappy with the team’s performance, especially after falling behind early in the game. Such a start is unacceptable in any competition, especially after the defeat in the last round.”  

"In the second half, due to an injury to a substitute player, 25-year-old Wout Fais came on as a center-back. He remained calm and composed, effectively containing the away team's attack, and the whole team showed the fighting spirit they should have from the start of the game."  

“I used to play that position when I was a kid, but I moved to midfield because of my height. When I came on, I felt there wasn’t much pressure to lose, and I just wanted to do my best to help the team equalize, and we did. We can see some positives in that, but we also know we need more performances like we did in the second half. However, the team as a whole still feels disappointed, and this result is very regrettable.”  

"Goals from Stephen Mavididi and Jordan James have given Leicester City hope of equalizing. Despite a promising first half, the team still has much to improve before Saturday's away game against Derby County."  

Oliver Skipp continued, "I don't think we can be complacent about our performance in the second half. Although we managed to pull the score back, we have many goals for ourselves and there are still great challenges ahead, especially against a team that is in good form and full of confidence."  

“We continued to launch attacks in the second half, which was very obvious. The opponent created almost no chances, and we dominated the game. However, it is always extremely difficult to come back from a three-goal deficit. We only had two options: give up or try to turn things around, and we chose the latter. But in the end, it was not enough to help us win, and we lost the game.”
