Wolves completed their first signing this summer, signing the promising young Spanish attacker Phil Lopez. Phil Lopez is an attacking player who is good at using his left foot and can play as a right winger and attacking midfielder. He has signed a five-year long-term contract with Wolves.  

Phil Lopez said in an interview that his close friend Jurgen Strand-Larsen encouraged him before joining Wolves and pointed out that he fits in well with head coach Vitor Pereira's coaching philosophy.  

The 21-year-old Spaniard became Wolves' first new signing of the summer, reuniting with Jurgen Strand-Larsen, with whom he played together at Celta Vigo. The two have maintained a close relationship since then. Phil Lopez said that it was the exchanges with the Norwegian, the influence of coach Vitor Pereira and his life experience in the UK that made him make the clear choice to join Wolves.  

Phil Lopez said: "I am very excited to be able to play in the Premier League. This is a great opportunity for my career. The club and Vitor Pereira have expressed their confidence in me and believe that I am a perfect fit for this team.  

"In this environment, I had little hesitation. Although it was difficult to leave the club I grew up with, I am very happy to join here and play in one of the best leagues in the world in my mind."  

"I played two games at the Bernabéu last season, away against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. The atmosphere there is considered to be the best in Spain. Now I hope to create the same wonderful experience in England."
