Atletico Madrid left-back Javi Garin has officially joined Osasuna for a transfer fee of €500,000.

Osasuna officially announced on Wednesday that Javi Galán has transferred from Atlético Madrid. The two sides signed a six-month contract, valid until June 30, 2026.
According to official sources, Garin's transfer fee is €500,000. If he extends his contract with Osasuna until next June, Atletico Madrid will receive an additional €500,000 per season in add-ons.
The 31-year-old Galán primarily plays as a left-back. He made his senior debut for Badajoz in the Spanish regional league on September 15, 2013. He subsequently played for Córdoba, Huesca, and Celta Vigo before joining Atlético Madrid in July 2023 for €5 million.
To date, Galán has only made 56 appearances for Atlético Madrid, providing 7 assists. He was also loaned out to Real Sociedad for half a season in January 2024, making 18 appearances and contributing 1 assist.
It is expected that Garin will get more playing time at Osasuna after joining the team. His primary task is to help Osasuna avoid relegation: Osasuna is currently 12th in La Liga with 18 points from 5 wins, 3 draws and 9 losses, only 3 points above the relegation zone.
