At the press conference, the new Italian head coach Guido Pagliuca was officially unveiled accompanied by sports director Roberto Gemmi. Guido Pagliuca expressed some of his views at the press conference.  

Guido Pagliuca said: “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Fabrizio and Rebecca Corsi, as well as to Director Jamie, for giving me the opportunity to join the Empoli family. I am also very grateful to Juve Stabia for the wonderful time we have spent together over the past two years.”  

“It was a profound feeling, knowing that I had joined a model company with many outstanding coaches who were valuable learning objects for me. I spent a lot of time studying their working methods, and I was humbled to integrate into this sympathetic environment, and most importantly, the working culture here.”  

"I felt that during my first meeting with the president and director, and it meant a lot to me. This company places great emphasis on the daily training and growth of players and is committed to improving the overall level of players."  

"I think football is an organised and responsible sport. Only when players step onto the pitch can they really get into the game and enjoy it. In modern football, organisation is crucial and must be reflected on the pitch."  

"What I want the coach to focus on is the relationships and human values within the dressing room. The responsibility is not only towards the club itself, but also to pass on the history of the club and respect the supporters who are proud of the players."  

“From the first day of training camp, our goal is to build a united team. Therefore, a strong connection between the players, staff, club and fans will create more possibilities. This unity is essential to achieve our goals. I hope to be able to create a team spirit where the players can be recognized as soon as they take to the field.”  

“When all aspects are closely linked, the coach can really feel the cohesion of the team. Our goal is to inspire passion and arouse the players' desire to play for Empoli and wear this jersey. "Flexibility is very important in today's football. I have to arrange the players so that they can play at their best in the right conditions, positions and tactical principles. The challenge of Serie B is that the competition is very fierce. Teams with a large starting budget fight to avoid relegation, while teams with high value and fighting spirit strive to be promoted. This trend has continued in recent years and I believe it will be the same this year. In such a fiercely competitive environment, teamwork is very important."
