Bologna announced on their official website on Tuesday that they have extended the contract of its Argentina international forward wonderkid Santiago Castro.
According to Bologna's official statement, Castro has signed on a new long-term four-and-a-half year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.
About Santiago Castro
Castro, who is only still 21 years old, was born on September 18, 2004, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is 1.82 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward, but can also play as a left winger and right winger. He holds dual Argentine and Italian citizenship.
Castro joined Vélez Sarsfield's youth academy at the age of seven and completed his Vélez Sarsfield first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in August 2021.
On the 2024 winter transfer window deadline day, Castro joined Bologna for €12 million.
Since becoming a member of I Veltri, Castro has made 86 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions so far, scoring 20 goals and providing 11 assists, and winning the Coppa Italia once.
