Frederik Jacker has renewed his contract with RB Leipzig until 2027 and has been loaned to the Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig for the new season. Eintracht Braunschweig has also acquired the option to buy the central defender.
The 24-year-old player moved to RB Leipzig's youth academy from the Green and White Domitscher in 2013 and has been playing in the club's various youth teams since then. Frederick Jacker has accumulated rich experience in the U17 and U19 Bundesliga and eventually became the captain of the RB Leipzig U19 team.
After that, the defender was loaned to several clubs. From 2020 to 2022, Frederick Jacker played for Belgian top league club Ostend, during which he played 41 times and scored 3 goals. He was then loaned to German second division team Bielefeld, where he played 27 games and scored 1 goal.
The young player, who was born in Saxony, signed a two-year loan contract with the newly promoted club Elversberg in the German second division before the 2023-24 season. After 18 appearances for the team from Saarland, he had to temporarily leave the field in early 2024 due to a torn cruciate ligament. Currently, he is looking to rediscover his form at the Eintracht Braunschweig football club.
Marcel Schäfer, Managing Director of the Sporting Department, said: "Frederik Jacker has made significant progress both on and off the pitch in recent years. His experience in Belgium and the 2. Bundesliga has given him valuable experience. Joining Eintracht Braunschweig after his injury provides him with an ideal platform to regain his best form and get playing time at a high level. We wish him a successful season at Eintracht Braunschweig."
