Bayern Munich announced on their official website on Friday that the club have extended the contract of its France international center-back Dayot Upamecano.
According to Bayern's official statement, Upamecano has signed on a new four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.
This extension effectively dispels rumours claiming that Upamecano had decided to move to Liverpool, Manchester United, or Real Madrid after his current contract expires this summer.
After completing his contract extension procedures, Upamecano, who was interviewed by the Bayern Munich official website again, said: "I am very happy to stay at Bayern and continue to play for this team. We have a great team and a great coach, and we share great goals."
"The most important thing in life is always mentality. I will give my all for my teammates in every training session, hope to keep a clean sheet in every game, and be eager to win as many titles as possible with Bayern."
