Urko Izeta renews contract with Athletic Bilbao until 2027

Athletic Bilbao has officially extended Urco Izeta's contract until June 30, 2027. The striker has signed a formal contract with the first team and will participate in the upcoming pre-season with the team.
Urco Izeta's previous contract was due to expire on June 30 this year. At present, he has signed a new contract with the club and will participate in pre-season training under the leadership of Ernesto Valverde.
The player once again proved himself to be a relentless goalscorer. In his first season in the Spanish Super League, he contributed 15 goals for Mirandas, including two in the promotion play-offs, fully demonstrating his growth and improvement. In total, he played 2,651 minutes, averaging a goal every three games, creating an impressive performance.
Urco Izeta scored goals at all levels. He scored 19 goals while playing for Arenas and 21 goals when he moved to Athletic Bilbao, totaling 40 goals in the Spanish Second Division. In his only La Liga season, he scored 6 goals for Amorbeita and also contributed 4 goals for the team's reserve team.
