Former Lazio captain Immobile joins Bologna as a free agent and gets a 1+1 contract

Bologna officially announced on Thursday that former Lazio captain Ciro Immobile has completed the transfer as a free agent. The two parties signed a contract until June 30, 2026, with an option for one year to renew.
The 35-year-old Immobile mainly plays as a center forward. He joined the Turkish Super League giant Besiktas for 2 million euros in July 2024. So far, Immobile has played 41 times for Besiktas, scored 19 goals and sent 4 assists, and won a Turkish Super Cup with the team.
Immobile has also played for Juventus, Siena, Grosseto, Pescara, Genoa, Torino, Dortmund, Sevilla, Lazio and other teams, and reached the peak of his career in Lazio. He spent eight years in Lazio, during which time he made 240 appearances, contributed 207 goals and 54 assists, and won 1 Italian Cup and 2 Italian Super Cup titles with the team.
As for the national team level, Immobile has played 57 times for Italy since 2014, scored 17 goals and provided 8 assists, and won the 2021 European Cup with the team.
