Brighton & Hove Albion are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Jason Steele has signed a new contract until June 2027. Since joining Brighton in 2018, Steele has made 60 appearances across all competitions. He previously played for Middlesbrough, Northampton, Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland.  

Head coach Fabian Huerzeler said: "I am very happy to welcome Jason Steele to the team for the next few years. He has a great influence in the locker room and has always demonstrated a high level of professionalism both on and off the court. I look forward to having him continue to play with us in the coming season."  

After signing his new contract, Fabian Huerzeler said: "From the first day I joined Brighton, the progress of the club has been incredible. I really hope to be here for ten years, which would be a huge achievement for me. We have an excellent coaching staff and goalkeeping group, and the communication between them is very close. The training level is constantly improving. Everyone strives to do their best every day."

Participating in European competitions two years ago was an unforgettable experience. If we can continue to perform consistently, I believe we have the ability to do it again.
