Inter Milan announced on its official website on Saturday that the club has signed Brazilian winger Luis Enrique from Marseille.

According to Inter Milan's official statement, Enrique has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.

In addition, according to the news brought by Sky Sports' resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A giants paid Marseille €25 million to sign Enrique.

After completing his joining procedures, Enrique, who was interviewed by the Inter Milan official website for the first time, said: "I am very happy to sign with such a big club. I think this will be a qualitative leap in my career. I am full of enthusiasm and can't wait to start the game, meet other players, and play for this giant with them every day."

"I have known this league very well since I was a child. I can't wait to play here because I think this league and this club will help me grow."

"Many important Brazilian players have played for Inter Milan. I also want to make history here, just like them. This will be an important adventure and I think I will be very happy."

About Luis Enrique

The 24-year-old Enrique was born on December 14, 2001 in João Pessoa, Brazil. He is 1.81 meters tall and primarily plays as a right winger, but can also play as a left winger.

Enrique played for the youth academy of non-league club Três Passos. In 2017, he joined the Botafogo youth academy, and completed his Botafogo first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in December 2019. He was only 17 years old at the time.

During this spell, Enrique attracted the attention of Bayern Munich and Juventus with his outstanding performances.

In September 2020, Enrique joined Marseille for €8 million.

In July 2022, Enrique was loaned back to Botafogo.

During his four-and-a-half-year spell with Les Olympiennes, Enrique played 108 times for the Ligue 1 giants in all competitions, scored 11 goals, assisted 16 times, and reached the Europa League final once with the club.
