The third round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League ushered in another focus match. Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge, defeated Ajax from the Eredivisie 5-1 after goals from Giu, Caicedo, Enzo, Esteban Willian and Tyreek George.

From the beginning of the game to the 13th minute, Chelsea organized an attacking opportunity. Giu received a direct pass from his teammate and broke into the penalty area and shot, but it was cleared by Ajax goalkeeper Pasfield.

In the 16th minute, Ajax captain Kennat Taylor tackled Chelsea midfielder Bonannot while fighting for the ball. After VAR intervened, the referee showed Kennat Taylor a red card, and Ajax could only hold on with 10 players.

In the 18th minute, Chelsea organized an attack with a lob pass. Wesley Fofana headed the ball to Giu who volleyed it in, helping Chelsea to open the scoring 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Ajax counterattacked and Raúl Moro was kicked down by Chelsea defender Adarabioyo while dribbling the ball. The referee awarded Ajax a penalty kick. Later, Weghorst took the penalty kick and scored, helping Ajax to a 1-2 draw.

In the 44th minute, Enzo was tackled by Weghorst in the penalty area when he received the ball. The referee directly awarded Chelsea a penalty kick. Subsequently, Enzo took the penalty kick and scored, helping Chelsea extend their lead to 3-1.

In the first half, Chelsea were awarded another penalty after Esteban Willian was brought down by Ajax defender Yuri Bass while attempting to break through the defence. Esteban Willian subsequently converted the penalty, making the score 4-1.

At the beginning of the second half, Chelsea replaced Enzo, Adarabioyo and Giu with Andre Santos, Chalobah and Tyreek George respectively.

In the 48th minute, Andre Santos tried to break through the penalty area but was cleared by the opponent's defender. Tyreek George immediately stepped up and shot into the goal, helping Chelsea lead Ajax 5 to 1. In the 50th minute, Lavia received a diagonal pass from his teammate near the top of the penalty area and shot from long range, but the ball went wide of the post.

In the 70th minute, Tyreek George made a cross from the right, and Estevan William's low shot went wide. In the 83rd minute, Tyreek George made a lob pass to the penalty area, and Estevan William's back hook shot went wide.

In the end, Chelsea beat Ajax 5-1 at home and achieved two consecutive victories.
