Gianluca Di Marzio reveals that Juventus is considering sacking head coach Igor Tudor..

Sky Sports' resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Thursday that Juventus is considering sacking head coach Igor Tudor.

According to Di Marzio, CEO Damien Comolli's patience with Tudor has almost worn out, and Juventus management is concerned about the club's winless streak since their Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on September 12th.

Comolli is reportedly ready to sack Tudor following I Bianconeri's recent shock loss to dark horse Como.

Di Marzio stated that sporting director Christoph Giuntoli is still trying to keep Tudor in his job.

However, Juventus must win this weekend's match against Lazio, or Giuntoli may be unable to prevent Tudor's sacking.

Regarding online rumours claiming that Juventus might appoint former Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez as head coach, Di Marzio stated that he was only one of the candidates under consideration.

I Bianconeri will likely prioritize local coaches with in-depth knowledge of the Serie A like Luciano Spalletti.

If Tudor is sacked, he would become the third head coach to be sacked by the I Bianconeri since the summer of 2024.

About Igor Tudor

Igor Tudor, 47, was born on April 16, 1978, in Split, Croatia. He is 1.92 meters tall and primarily played as a center back during his playing career, but could also play as a defensive midfielder.

Tudor spent the majority of his playing career at Juventus. During this time, he helped the club win two Serie A titles, two Supercoppa Italiana titles, one Serie B title, and one UEFA Intertoto Cup title.

After retiring, Tudor coached his boyhood club, Hajduk Split, from 2013 to 2015, winning the Croatian Prva Liga title once.

Tudor returned to Juventus as Andrea Pirlo's assistant for the 2020/21 season, later left the club following Pirlo's departure.

He subsequently served as head coach at Hellas Verona, Marseille, and Lazio.

In March of this year, Tudor succeeded Thiago Motta as Juventus head coach.

Since taking the helm, so far, Tudor has coached the Serie A giants in 23 matches across all competitions, achieving 10 wins, 8 draws, and 5 losses, with a win percentage of 43.48%.
